Now back to our program... Zoey's Journey #10
hello,
Zoey is taking a nap we have free email in our rooms it is so tiny the
letters I cannot see well and the screen blinks. The travel agent is the
worst. Jessie I know you called him to make sure about our Hong Kong rooms
and they said David never confirmed. we are all not on the same floor again
which we hate and this hotel is not one we would have picked in a million
years I asked him I told him what would make my dad happy. the rooms are so
tiny I am not exaggerating when I say there is about 3 feet free space around
the bed. Joe and I have two twin beds pushed together and their is a desk in
the room with this computer. the bathroom is so tiny that you close the door
and your knees hit the back of the door. Mommy and daddies room has a double
bed and is even tinier. I told the bell boy that a mouse could not even live
in here. I hear across the street at the Sheraton the rooms are normal. I am
so disappointed with David's service. he did not explain how we would get
from the train to the hotel with 8
bags and it cost an outrageous amount to get a bus. I could have booked a
better he did nothing that a travel agent I had used previously had done.
When we are all tired and have so many bags you just do not want to deal with
these things and should not have to.
Anyway, I ranted enough about that. If you think I am bad you should here the
rest. I am trying to be low key so they don't get crazy about David.
Hong Kong is s how I imagined it. I like it. The food is still not to my
liking here. But I am a picky eater. Joe eats like he has a hollow leg. Then
runs back to the hotel. We laugh. Daddy gets turned off with the chicken feet
etc. We booked a tour this morning and it started off great we were to go to
Victoria peak (tram) Stanley market, Aberdeen Square and I forget what else.
Anyway we get on the tram which I am fearful to begin with but am
trying to be a trooper. mommy does not like them either.
We go up and are on a 45 degree angle and I am trying not to look. Daddy
has
Zoey who is sleeping and Joe and Justine are in the isle holding on for life
because there were not seats and guess what???? The tram stops the lights go
out the power goes off. Now I am writing to tell about it so you know nothing
tragic happened but we were stuck there for about 25 m minutes or so. The
elevation made you nauseous and dizzy. It was truly frightening. Justine was
very nauseous and dizzy and so was mommy. I was okay until this man in the
back we where we were in the last car too panicked and left his family and
said he had to get to the first car AND EVERYONE HAD TO MOVE HE DID NOT FEEL
WELL. Oops did not mean to press the caps key. Then I panicked and told
daddy to give me the baby I was getting out.
Jojo calmed me down. Zoey woke up too and I was distracted sort of taking
care of her. Well it started again and we get to this restaurant on top. The
view was amazing but everyone was white as a ghost and nauseous and upset.
Justine ate bread and I gave her some pepto and she was better. mommy never
recovered 100% and we went on the boat ride and that sent her over the edge
she had to come back to the hotel and just sleep and sleep. She is okay now.
Me daddy and mommy came back to the hotel and I gave Zoey a bath because she
stunk. The inexperienced Mom that I am left the heavy baby bag on the bus and
Zoey made doody all over and tried to clean her and got doody all over and
mommy is not feeling well and we are waiting for the bus who took off because
we were to spend 45 minutes at the jewelry factory, daddy went looking for
the bus. Quite a day. Moral of the story. The baby bag is a contingency bag
and their is always contingency with the baby take it everywhere!!! Then
we
all napped and she is still napping.
Justine and Jojo went to some temple. I wish we were leaving tomorrow now. I
have seen Hong Kong and I am so done! I want to get home. Oh and the train
ride from Guangzhou to Hong Kong was lovely we got to see the countryside and
the train was comfortable it was a nice thing to do instead of getting on a
plane again.
Mommy just rang and we are going to go downstairs to eat we are eating in the
hotel tonight which is fine by me our day was exciting enough. I am just
waiting for Zoey to get up I do not want to wake her.
