Hello Jessica, Michael and Alex and everyone,
We are in Beijing! We arrived yesterday and we were exhausted all except
mommy who looks great and rested. We just went down to dinner noodles in
the hotel they were okay in the hotel mommy had to drag me out of bed to go to dinner I was so tired daddy would not get up he slept from 4pm
to 6am. We had to be downstairs at 7:40am today and we all were feeling good. We had a buffet breakfast and it was
American style I ate too many pieces of bacon and was thirsty the whole day.
We then went to the Zoo and saw the Pandas and were very lucky because
they were playing like Harry and looigi like to play. ShaSha was explaining the where the Pandas lived and she said that one room was the
back room and I thought she said bathroom so I turned to the whole group
and said this is the Pandas bathroom (there were turds all around it
made sense to me) She was laughing she said I said back room. Anyway Sha
Sha and Henry are terrific so nice and warm and friendly. Then we went
to the Summer Palace and that was beautiful and mommy, daddy, Joe and Justine climbed all the way up the top to this temple I only went half
way and sha sha stayed with me too. It was exactly the way that we all
imagined China to be. I feel very comfortable here and it might be
because I have almost my whole family here but I also think that is
because I find the people friendly and attentive and I have warm
feelings toward this country because it is Zoey's homeland. We went on a
dragon boat and then we went for a fabulous lunch just loved it! Then
mommy Joe and Justine went on a whirlwind shopping spree. I went back to
the hotel with Daddy. They had the best time. Sha Sha took them. We went
out to dinner with Henry and it was lovely and then we walked the
streets which were very bright and active and neon. I am continually
cold here!!!
It was rainy and muggy today but tomorrow should be sunny.
Okay here is mommy I miss you and think of you guys and cannot wait to
get Zoey now that I am here she is on my mind constantly and there are
so many cute babies around.
Jessie I think about you a lot and miss you. sorry to say that we bought
lots of things today all for me. I had a really good time. give Alex
those kisses and hugs from us. Lisa is holding up well. just a bit
tired though. everyone here has been lovely but this country is not at
all like the Japan I just left. every day is an adventure and I feel
calm for the moment. I can't really believe Lisa will have Zoey in her
arms every minute soon. write a lot we will be checking e mail every
day. write to daddy and add Zara to our list o.k., love
