One milestone behind me.

My Child Abuse Clearances Cleared Yippee :) Yahoo!!!!

I am almost through my first trimester....

Now my home study is complete.( Done by my social worker who came to my house asked a gazillion questions and put together a report) My social worker will send it to me this week and I will then send it to a Mrs. Troupe at INS - Immigration Naturalization Service (who you can only call on Wed b/t 8am and 1pm).

She will review it and make sure my home study is all in order, I already have clearance on my Fingerprints needed for INS. Once it is approved by INS. (I have to be approved by the US government) I get this extremely important piece of paper called the 171H . That is what the Chinese really want to see and that should take approx 3 to 4 weeks.

In the meantime while I am waiting for my 171H. I will be getting the rest of my documents for the Chinese government notarized by NYS County clerk, State Department and Chinese Consulate. That should be completed about the same time as my 171H arrives.

It then takes about a week to translate everything to Chinese and off it 
goes to China. That is called DTC Dossier to China. Once I am DTC the first trimester is officially over and all I have to do is wait and wait and wait some more. I should receive my referral in 6 to 8 months from DTC (referral tells me who Zoey is where she comes from, how much she weighs, Is she healthy and her picture) I can't even imagine.

We then leave anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks later to GOTCHA DAY.
